A single duvet cover is designed to fit a standard single duvet. In the UK, a single duvet is usually around 135 × 200 cm, although measurements can vary slightly between brands. Our single pintuck duvet cover measures 137 × 200 cm.

A single duvet is not simply half the size of a double. A standard double duvet measures approximately 200 × 200 cm, so both sizes are usually the same length, but a single duvet is considerably narrower and intended for one person.

A single duvet cover is generally unsuitable for a small double or 4ft bed because it will not provide enough width to cover both sides comfortably.
