Collection: Pintuck Duvet Covers

Six colours of pintuck duvet cover, all in soft microfibre and all cut to standard UK sizes. The stitched pleat pattern runs across the cover for a hotel-style finish, each set comes with two matching pillowcases, and the hidden popper closure means getting the duvet in and out doesn't turn into a fight. Available in Single, Double, King and Super King, in White, Soft Pink, Charcoal, Silver, Navy Blue and Plum.

What makes a duvet cover "pintuck"

Pintuck describes the stitching, not the fabric: rows of fabric are pinched and sewn down at regular intervals across the cover, creating a raised, ridged texture rather than a flat surface. It's the same construction you'll usually see on higher-end hotel bedding, and it reads as more dressed-up than a plain or single-print cover without needing a busy pattern to do it.

Soft microfibre, six colours

Every cover in this range is made from soft microfibre rather than cotton, which is why they come out of the wash quicker, resist creasing better, and don't need ironing to look tidy on the bed. You get six colours to choose from — White, Soft Pink, Charcoal, Silver, Navy Blue and Plum — so whether you want something bright and simple or something darker for a bedroom that leans more contemporary, it's one range rather than a search across several.

Sizing and what's in the set

Every set includes the duvet cover plus two matching pillowcases (50 x 75cm, standard UK size).

  • Single: 137 x 200cm
  • Double: 200 x 200cm
  • King: 230 x 220cm
  • Super King: 260 x 220cm

Match the cover to the actual size of your duvet rather than your bed size — a double bed with a king-size duvet on it is a genuinely common choice if you like extra overhang, but the cover still needs to match the duvet, not the mattress. The cover closes with a hidden popper strip along the opening, so there's no zip to catch on the fabric and nothing visible once it's on the bed.

Washing and care

Machine washable, no bleach, tumble dry on a low setting. Wash similar colours together — Charcoal and Navy Blue are strong enough to affect paler colours if they end up in the same load, which is really just the same advice you'd follow for any dark, richly coloured bedding.

FAQ

What actually is a "pintuck" duvet cover?
It's a stitching style, not a fabric — rows of fabric are pinched and sewn at regular intervals to create a raised, ridged texture across the cover, rather than a flat printed or plain surface.
What's it made from?
Soft microfibre, not cotton. It's why the cover dries faster, resists creasing, and doesn't really need ironing to look presentable.
Does it come with pillowcases?
Yes, two matching pillowcases per set, sized 50 x 75cm — the standard UK pillowcase size.
What sizes and colours are available?
Single, Double, King and Super King, each in White, Soft Pink, Charcoal, Silver, Navy Blue or Plum.
Should I get a duvet cover bigger or smaller than my duvet?
Match it to your actual duvet's size, not your bed size — a cover that's too big leaves the duvet slumping in the corners, and one that's too small compresses the filling flat.
How do I stop the duvet bunching up inside the cover?
The usual trick is turning the cover inside out, reaching in to grab the two top corners of the duvet through the cover's corners, then shaking the whole thing the right way out — the duvet gets pulled into place rather than pushed and bunched. The popper closure on ours helps too, since there's no zip to snag halfway through.
How do I wash it?
Machine washable, no bleach, tumble dry on low. Wash similar colours together, especially with Charcoal or Navy Blue in the load.
Will the pleats flatten out after washing?
They can look slightly softer after a wash and tumble dry than straight out of the packaging — that's normal for any pintuck or pleated fabric. A quick shake once it's out of the dryer helps it sit properly on the bed.
